O2 Arena Exhibition
Window box at the O2 Arena, London (14th - 28th February 2012)
Somewhereto_, an organisation that finds young people across the UK incredible spaces to do the things they love, and graffitilife.co.uk worked together to arrange an exhibition for artists of all disciplines to display their work outside the O2 Arena, in London over a twelve week period, between 2nd January and 27th March 2012. Eighteen artists in total were selected, and I am pleased to say I was one of them!
Each artist was given a two-week slot over a three month period and a large 6 metre wide window box located between North Greenwich Tube Station and the O2 to showcase their work in, which I used to exhibit a collection of my animal portraits. As graffiti art took prominence throughout the exhibition I am excited to say that I was the only Fine Artist to be chosen, which just goes to show how diverse art can be.
This was such an incredible opportunity to have my work seen by tens of thousands of people on a daily basis, (8,000 on non show days, 30,000 on show days to be specific!) and I feel immensely proud to have been selected! It was like having my own billboard in the heart of London in front of an iconic venue – what more could I ask for!
