Poaching of both rhino and elephant sadly continues to reach alarming levels and the idea of an Africa without these magnificent wild animals is unthinkable...

Threats to rhinos: There are multiple threats to rhinos survival, nearly all of which are caused by humans. Over the past few decades, the illegal rhino horn trade, habitat loss and political conflict have fuelled drastic decline in population numbers. Poaching of rhino horn for the production of traditional Chinese medicine is the greatest threat facing rhino today.

Threats to elephants: Killing African elephants for their ivory are devastating a species that’s already losing ground to a growing human population. The killings are driven by the rising price of ivory as demand increases across Asia - and especially in China. 

There are many other beautiful species of animal that need our help too; this is just the tip of the ice burg..
